Welcome to the Oklahoma City Chapter of the FBA

With 500 members and currently ranked the eighth largest FBA Chapter in the country, the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Federal Bar Association serves as a forum for federal legal issues in central and western Oklahoma.  Our chapter’s inclusive board of directors brings together judges and lawyers from a wide variety of legal fields, including civil and criminal practitioners and both government attorneys and private counsel.  The chapter presents prominent speakers at dinner events such as the annual William J. Holloway, Jr., Lecture, and also facilitates more informal programs, such as monthly lunches with federal judges and members of the local bar.  The chapter also hosts continuing legal education programs for its members and the legal community. 

 

Mentee Applications for Mentorship Program due on January 29, 2016

The OKC Chapter of the FBA is pleased to release the Mentee Application for its 2016 Mentorship Program. Applications are due Friday, January 29, 2016. If you are a member of the OKC Chapter of the FBA and have been a member of the Bar of the State of Oklahoma for less than 5 years, please apply. The Mentorship Program is a one-year program designed to teach new federal practitioners the ropes of federal legal practice in the Western District of Oklahoma.

Judicial Reception on February 11, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.

Please plan to attend the 2016 Judicial Reception on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at 5:30 p.m., at the Colcord Hotel, Terrace Room, 15 N. Robinson Avenue, Oklahoma City. The 2016 Judicial Reception will feature a program on the legacy of Judge William J. Holloway, Jr., in conjunction with the February 12, 2016 naming of the Federal Courthouse for the Western District of Oklahoma in honor of Judge William J. Holloway, Jr.
